The Economist Widget

When it comes to AMV BBDO and pitching, we’re used to helping them rather than vying for the digital business ourselves.

So it was nice to compete for and win the brief to design and build a widget for The Economist – it was a bit like keeping us honest.

The overall objective was to grow the Economist readership by exposing its core audience of Ideas People to the brand via a dynamically generated widget, populated by the latest stories – to bring the Economist to them, engage them and let them download it to their social networking site.
