Nestlé wanted to significantly strengthen the digital presence of its Kat Kit brand and build greater build brand affinity through a series of large integrated on-pack to online sales promotions, supported by content that brought its iconic ‘Have a Break. Have a Kit Kat’ strapline to life online.

Skive won the pitch through a mixture of insightful strategy, impressive credentials and great creative.

The objective was to provide the broad Kit Kat target audience with a new destination website to enhance their online break, as well as driving traffic to and participation in the ‘perfect break’ promotion.

Execution

Skive designed the Perfect Break promotional site, requiring integration with Nestlé’s global sales promotion agency’s architecture so that the 12 digit instant win codes on bars of Kit Kat could be redeemed.

Users were also encouraged to go to the ‘Have A Break’ section of the site, which integrated with JWT’s ‘Work Like A Machine’ creative, offering users a range of content for their digital breaks whether they were in the office, at home or out and about.

Skive also filmed video for use on the site and in rich media online ads, and created a Facebook page to stimulate a conversation between the brand and its core consumers in an environment they were already comfortable with.
