Skive was asked by client Coty to develop some stand out digital communication to improve perception of Joop! as a quality brand and fragrance amongst a target audience of young 18-24 year old men to launch around the Christmas sales period.

Execution

The Christmas period is very busy and it’s hard to create cut-through, but with a bold client and young target market, it was felt the best route would be slightly risqué and humorous, with a slick graphical look and feel.

Rather than drive users to a destination, Skive produced an ‘in banner’ game based around a sexy girl who danced to three different tracks, each representative of the distinctive Joop! fragrances.

Skive cast and filmed the model against green screen, and incorporated her into the game with After Effects. Repeat play was encouraged via a high score table that users could submit their score to.

Results

Average user interaction time with the ad was 1 minute 13 seconds, with some sites achieving almost two minutes.

Average expansion rate was 8.53% and an average interaction rate of 20.66% was achieved.
