Skive worked closely with 141 on a creative execution that needed to reflect the fact that users of the application might approach it with little or no interest, and low motivation; it needed to be visually dynamic and enjoyable from first interaction - fun to use, whether technically literate or not.
Upon launching, users are whisked through to the Motoscape ‘Gateway’ – the entrance to world of Motorola information suspended in the ether. Clicking on the keypad next to the door will allow each user to key in their PIN number as shown. This will open a registration screen where all of their details will be taken and submitted to the Motoscape database.
This process will be the first in an ongoing data gathering exercise, wherein Motoscape will become the catalyst in an increase in understanding between Motorola and those selling Motorola products.
The user is then taken to the Atrium - the main navigation point. There are three choices on offer:
Learn Moto (where all e-learning modules can be found and interacted with); Know Moto (where fun ‘tests’ can be taken and rewards earned for success) and Live Moto (where rewards in Know Moto room can be redeemed).
All of these needed to be brought to life in a polished 3D animated environment, built in Flash and accompanied by the disembodied voice of the Motoscape virtual guide.
